Shanghai ¨C On June 5, 2005, a group of 10
delegations from administrations of the City of Baiyin, Gansu Province, visited
Powerzinc Shanghai, led by the Mayor of Baiyin and Secretary of the Baiyin
committee of Chinese Communist Party. Their main objectives were to understand
Powerzinc¡¯s technology advancement and progresses in commercialization.
Powerzinc¡¯s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Richard
Yang, showed the delegations the factory and production lines and explained
DQFC¡¯s manufacturing process. In his presentation, Mr. Yang also
detailed Powerzinc¡¯s history, current state and future potentials. In closing
statement, Mayor Yuan praised Powerzinc¡¯s world-leading technologies and was
impressed by the project¡¯s huge growth potentials. There are affluent
non-ferrous metal mines in Baiyin, including all that are used in Powerzinc¡¯s
DQFC series. Hence, there are great synergies to be explored. In addition,
Baiyin has started to utilize its own natural resources to develop the battery
industry and, eventually, to evolve Baiyin into the Center of Batteries in
Western China. Mayor Yuan has also expressed willingness to help Powerzinc to
expand in Baiyin.
