Officers of Development and Reform Commission of Shanghai visited Powerzinc in Shanghai

Shanghai, China – On September 20th, 2005, the head of Shanghai Energy Development of Development and Reform Commission, Xia Mei Xing, visited Powerzinc (Shanghai) Electric Inc.

After the presentation of zinc air fuel cell and project of electric city transit bus, Mr. Xia was satisfied about the achievements of Powerzinc. Afterward, Mr. Xia was pleased to tour on Powerzinc’s DQFC zinc air fuel cell electric city transit bus and also visited the manufacturing factory of zinc air fuel cell and R & D center. Mr. Xia considered that electric city transit bus powered by DQFC zinc air fuel cell is ready for commercializing operations, and he also suggest that Powerzinc submit proposals for manufacturing and commercially adopting the products. Mr. Xia decided to call on some of the related ministries of Shanghai to promote Powerzinc’s products along with some relevant city development plans. According to the municipal government of Shanghai, any technology or product that can ensure the safety of energy should be developed with sparing no effort. Mr. Xia indicated that the government is going to utilize the public resources solve problems of high gas price and air pollutions through adopting alternative energies. Meanwhile, this will also help to prepare for coming Shanghai “Green” World Expo in 2010.
