Shanghai-on
August 26, 2005, a group of delegations from International Trade Division of the
state of Ohio visited Powerzinc Shanghai, including the Managing Director of the
State of Ohio Office of East and Southeast Asia ¨C Ms. Shirley Co, the Director ¨C
Mr. Kirk B. Merritt, the Deputy Director ¨C Mr. Steven Schoeny, and the Mission
Coordinator ¨C Mr. Randolph S. Hochstetter. This is a continuation of
Powerzinc¡¯s continuous efforts of expanding its operations in the State. Early
this year, Powerzinc visited Ohio to discuss possibilities of establishing a
manufacturing plant as a part of development of the fuel cell industry.
During visit,
Powerzinc demonstrated its zinc air fuel cell electric bus, motorcycle and
bicycle, and the delegations were having good time on test-driving the vehicles.
The delegations
were very impressed by the achievements of Powerzinc, and agreed that Powerzinc
had led a beginning of the new industry. Mr.Merritt said the Powerzinc¡¯s E-bus
is not just a demo, this E-bus is really a product, no difference with ordinary
diesel-powered bus. It is much valuable as the increasing of the oil price
nowadays. After the meeting, the delegations indicated that they will report to
the governor of Ohio State about this meeting and demonstration with Powerzinc
in Shanghai, so both parties could have further discussion regarding the
demonstrations arrangement in Ohio in the near future.
