After more
than one year of exploration and discussion a famous auto
bus manufacturing plant located in Jiangsu, China signed on
July 1, 2004 an intention contract worth $380 millions
(31,560 millions RMB) to buy DQFC zinc air fuel cells from
Powerzinc Electric (Shanghai), Inc. This cooperation opened
the gateway and will lead to the full commercialization of
the pure electric bus. The contracted DQFC zinc air fuel
cells will be supplied in batches during 4 years and be
installed on the pure electric buses manufactured by the
above-mentioned bus manufacturing plant.
This cooperation between the famous autobus manufacturing
plant and Powerzinc will undoubtedly usher in a new era in
the electric bus development history.
