Delegation from Economic Development Agency of Paris Region Visited Powerzinc

(April 11, Shanghai )(News from Shanghai, April 25) Today, as recommended jointly by China Electrotechnical Society and Beijing Institute of Technology, the Delegation from the Economic Development Agency of Paris Region, France, which was taking part in the “12th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition”, paid a visit to Powerzinc Electric (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.  The delegation consists of Ms. Christophe Bosquillon, Chief Representative Asia, Ms. Xing You, Chief Representative China, Mr. Laurence Curti, Senior Consultant Automotive Industry and Mr. Francois de Charentenay, technical consultant of the delegation and former chief of the R&D Department of France Peugeot-Citroen Group.  The aim of the visit is to probe with Powerzinc of the possibilities of cooperation by the two parties in the field of manufacturing and applying the dynamic battery and electric vehicles.

Mr. Deqian Yang, the chief designer of Powerzinc, introduced to the visitors about the R&D history of Powerzinc since its establishment on zinc air battery and zinc fuel, the successful running of an electric city bus driven by zinc air batteries and zinc fuel, as well as the demonstrative operation of that electric city bus in Beijing and Shanghai for more than one year.  Mr. Yang also introduced to the visitors that with the support of Shanghai Municipal Government and Pudong New District Government, Powerzinc will soon initiate in Pudong New District the project of demonstrative business operation of a fleet of electric city buses energized by zinc air batteries and its zinc fuel made by Powerzinc.

During the visit the guests got acquainted in detail with the product performance of zinc air battery and zinc fuel, explored the social conditions for the operation of electric city buses driven by zinc air battery and zinc fuel, including the way of battery recharge or zinc fuel replacement, as well as the variation of the electric performance parameters of an electric vehicle when it is driven by zinc air battery and zinc fuel.  After the gusts visited the zinc air battery and zinc fuel production line of Powerzinc, rode in the sample electric city bus developed by Powerzinc and driven by zinc air battery and zinc fuel, and experienced its running, they held an extensive discussion with Powerzinc members covering the issues on zinc air battery and zinc fuel as well as the promotion and application of electric city bus driven by zinc air battery and zinc fuel in France.

At the end of the visit, the guests indicated that the development of clean energy has been attached great importance in France, such project as Powerzinc now engages in shall have great expectation in France.  The delegation will by all means support and assist Powerzinc to promote their market development in France, especially when Powerzinc obtains the operating experience in the demonstration project held in Pudong.
