(January 12, Shanghai£©The arrival of the new year of
2007 saw Powerzinc make the leap over the electric
bus project. More than 20 experts from all walks of
life, including industrial veterans, experts,
scholars and government officials, wrote endorsement
letter for the project which is under the scrutiny
of the Pudong District government of Shanghai.
To
gather the endorsement letter is required by the
government, according to Richard Yang, CEO of
Powerzinc (USA), who has met with those people. He
also said, ¡°I am fully encouraged now and confident
with our project. Those experts offered very
objective, instructive and wise opinions.¡±
Shanghai is the leading city that promotes
environmental technology and was honored ¡°the City
Model of Environmental Protection¡±. For example, it
has the policy of encouraging to replace Gas with
Electricity with the goal to reduce the air
pollution caused by the gas-powered vehicles.
Powerzinc¡¯s ZAFC-powered E-Bus Project thus helps to
achieve this goal.
The people who endorsed include Shi Dinghuan, the
former secretary of the Ministry of Science and
Technology (MST), Liu Yulan, Director of Planning
Division of the MST, Ni Guangnan, Academician of
Chinese Academy of Science and the founder of
Legend, the former President of Beijing¡¯s
University of Aviation and Space Technology etc.
Gregory Zhang, the technology chief at Canada¡¯s
TeckCominco and the officers of US-China Center of
Energy and Environmental Technology (EETC) also
wrote the endorsement.
All these endorsement has shown that Powerzinc¡¯s
ZAFC-powered E-bus has been embraced by the whole
society and that only with the support from all
walks of life, can the project come true.
