| We conducted another series of demonstrations
and road tests on four light EVs -- three electric scooters
and one electric bicycle. The demonstrations and tests
started at 9 a.m. and lasted all the way to 6.30 p.m.
on the street in front of our Shanghai Plant. The EV
that covered the longest distance was an electric scooter
manufactured by EVT
Technology Co., Ltd. of Taiwan. Travelled at a speed
of 30-35 km/h, the 48-volt scooter was powered by two
of our DQFC-24-3000 zinc-air fuel cells. It managed
to cover a significant distance of 250 km (155 miles)
without any recharge in between. The test on the
electric bicycle, which was our first attempt on bikes,
proved equally successful. The Chinese-made bicycle
was.
powered by
one of our specially-made smaller fuel cells. It managed
to run a remarkable 153 km (95 miles) with no recharge
in between. The test results were certified by the Quality
Examine Institution for Environmental Products of Shanghai,
China. Click here for the certified
test results.
