Powerzinc Will Launch DQFC Series Zinc-Air Fuel Cell for Use in Large-Sized Electric Bus

Powerzinc announced today that a DQFC series zinc-air fuel cell using an exclusively original and advanced zinc air technology for use in large-sized electric bus is scheduled for debut within this year. At the time, a low-chassis public electric bus, which is co-manufacturing with our partner- Faw Bus and Coach Wuxi Works, is also scheduled to launch at the same time. DQFC series zinc-air fuel cell is assigned to be the sole power source of the electric bus. Powerzinc believes as nowadays oil price remains in a record high level, the arrival of DQFC series zinc-air fuel cell must draw enormous attention and focus of the world.

According to the findings of the elites in the industry, DQFC series zinc-air fuel cell has some significant advantages in comparison to hydrogen fuel cell technology, the time needed from the research and development stages to commercialize hydrogen fuel cell technology is believed to be ranging from several years to a few decades. Zinc-air fuel cell is definitely the best candidate to replace oil-powered vehicles before hydrogen fuel cell technology overcome all its difficulties. On the other hand, DQFC series zinc-air fuel cell enjoys the advantages among high specific energy, specific power, speedy replacement, low-cost and light weight, thus, DQFC series zinc-air fuel cell is by far more practical, since it has equipped with many stunning qualities that make commercialization just one step ahead.

Last October, Secretary General from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China has handwritten: " Zinc-air fuel cell is one of the directions for electric vehicle development, since you have built a foundation in applications through an extended  time in R&D, a further cooperations with auto enterprises are needed to bring up a working proposal to produce a demo vehicle to seek the promised government supports, and make contribution for the state encouraged clean vehicle development ".
